Method 1: Using PowerShell (Recommended)

  1. Open PowerShell as Administrator
    • Right-click Start button
    • Select “Windows PowerShell (Admin)”
  1. Run the command:
    Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V -All
  1. Type Y when prompted to restart

Method 2: Using Control Panel

  1. Open Control Panel
    • Press Win + R, type control, press Enter
  1. Navigate to Programs > Turn Windows features on or off
  1. Check “Hyper-V” box
    • Includes Hyper-V Management Tools and Hyper-V Platform
  1. Click OK and restart when prompted

Method 3: Using CMD

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator
    • Right-click Start button
    • Select “Command Prompt (Admin)”
  1. Run:
    dism.exe /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Microsoft-Hyper-V-All /All
  1. Restart when prompted

  • Requires Windows 10/11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education
  • BIOS virtualization must be enabled
  • Restart required after enabling
